[thelist] self.close() and IE 5.1 MAC

IE 5.1.5 Mac, OS 9.2, clicking the Submit button closes the window and
changes the parent's bgcolor...

I *thought* I remembered having done something like this and it working, and
it sure seems to. Maybe this was one of the bugs fixed in the x.x.5 update
for 9?
