The only issue I can think of is on unix servers which are case sensitive.

I.E.
myWebImage.jpg is not the same as MyWebIMAge.jpG

This is not the same on windows based server as they are case insensitive.

Just make sure that the string you are using to call the file is the same as
the file name and you will be fine.

I know this was an issue a long time ago as was the 8 char length, but does
it still apply now?
