"Disabled" does not mean 'wheelchair'. Nor does it mean 'blind'. There are
many kinds of different disabilities, as well as different degrees of each
disability.

Perhaps it has something to do with being in a strong position, in a
position to help: By adapting the code a little bit, by thinking about how
to make it more accessible, you have the chance to help or not. Either way
it shows character.

Unfortunately, I don't know where to find the 'Ultimate Accessible Site'.
If someone does, I would be very interested. :)

As I understand it, clean, clear, validated code goes a long way. I tried
to have the web sites where I am involved in 'as DA as possible', and I
think the highest degree is the http://www.mako4css.com web site... but
all others that are done by our company are at least 'Bobby Approved'
(that's not the ultimate authority, but three years ago it was more or
less the only one...)

Perhaps the question should rather be: ... line between accessibility and
economic pressures...

>From my own experiences: That's coding habit, and one can teach oneself
bad habits and good habits. How much time takes it to clearly and properly
code a page, compared to hacking wildly and re-doing it a few times? How
much time takes it to comment properly - and how much time takes it to get
one's head ripped off because *one works in a team where others have to be
able to work with the code*...

Conclusion: It all depends on your (personal) circumstances and your
character (as a person).
