are you saying that there is a way to definitively checking where your site is
ranked on search engines?

Thanks, that'll certainly be useful for Google but I was hoping to check a
range of the most popular search engines.  I guess I'll have to write my own
script with a separate parser for each search engine so that I can
deconstruct the pages to find my url and to determine it's ranking.
