[thelist] swish-e/swishEX: anyone have experience with these?

hi.

i recently found swish-e (from a post on the list recently) and got it
to work on my win2k box (to my delight there is now a win32
distribution). THEN i found out that there is an ActiveX control (or
whatever they are called) for it that is supposed to integrate nicely
with IIS and allow searching through asp. however i have been
unsuccessful in getting it to work. and in fact it killed the server and
i had to reboot it. so i removed both programs quickly, restarted and
the server was fine. i don't want to go back to experimenting until i
can possibly get some more information on it.

i spent a lot of time searching google but was only able to find one
question that related to swishex and that person was basically
complaining that they could not get it to work either.

anyone have any thoughts on this?
