I know some people have asked about a tool to download databased web sites.
Since I found a pretty good one that is reasonable product, I thought I'd
pass it along.

The tool is called Web copier from MaximumSoft
http://www.maximumsoft.com/downloads/index.html You provide the URL and it
downloads all the pages it finds at that URL by following internal links.
It creates static pages out of all the dynamic pages, names them with a
number, then changes all the links to match.

</tip>

I used the free (no longer available ) lite version that I had downloaded
some time ago, but never used. I was able to download my entire site,
complete with graphics and every dynamic page. All the internal links work.
The only thing that doesn't work is the search - of course.

I was able to burn the site to CD for our CEO to take to the National Sales
meeting - where they will not have internet access during the presentations.
Very Nice.

There is a 30 free trial for the new version and the cost is $30 - very
reasonable for such a handy tool.

I have no affiliation to Maximumsoft. I'm just a happy customer - who will
be putting in a PO request for the new version - and I thought I'd pass the
info along.
