So I am assuming that I explained that poorly, and nobody wants to bother
trying to guess?

Chris

Ok, I know that wasn't the best title in the world, but I really don't know
what kind of technology I'll be using here to create this.

Basically what I want to have is a map of a certain area, and then be able
to have a star or whatever positioned over the map in the place that I am
currently at.

Of course this isn't going to be advanced as having a GPS system tracking
me, so I'll be putting coordinates into the DB for wherever I am (city or
whatever).

The ASP and SQL part wont be a problem, its more of how I'm going to get
this to display.

I was thinking of creating 2 maps. One that will be displayed on the
website, and then one that I can use for coordinate reference. For example,
if I'm in Tokyo (where I am right now), I could look at my other map, see
that its at like 200px high and 600px across the map, put that into my DB,
and then have the page pull those values out and display a star over Tokyo
on my map.

So what will this involve doing? I haven't really looked into this kinda
thing before, so need some help.

Thanks,
Chris
