This is done through the camera management software suite. Usually the
software that allows the camera to be connected to the PC makes the
camera storage appear as a removable drive -- all your client needs to
do is copy from there to the local hard disk. RTFM, eh? ;)

I would assume that since your client is using a camera with capacity
to shoot 1200x1600 pixel images, it is a fairly decent model. Most
models come with a software CD that have image manipulation software
bundled along. You should advise your client to take a look and you
could probably take it up from there.

Otherwise, a friend of mine uses "Image Converter" that was gifted to
him (www.ggcomputer.com/icae.htm) but costs just under $30... He says
it allows him to do what he wants so it must be good enough.

ACDSee (for more than twice as much - $70 or thereabout) comes with a
basic image manipulation software as well. I have v2.42 and use it for
quick jobs. I am satisfied with it but the newer versions should have
