i'm not aware of anything that will allow you to connect via rds to a
coldfusion server without using coldfusion studio/dreamweaver mx.  my
curiosity about how it works has led me to examine the data that's
transferred back and forth between cfstudio and cfserver.  it's really all
just http traffic consisting almost entirely of posts.  one of these i'm
sure i'll get bored and travel down the endless path of trying to duplicate
the rds portion of the functionality in a web-based app.  in the meantime, i
know of no other way of connecting.
