don't mind the peanut gallery.  i know it's not easy to find a script that
maintains a click state in combination with rollovers among all the basic
rollover scripts.  you're in luck though, i wrote something like this long
ago:

actually, mine goes one step further in that the rollover state is different
if the button is clicked.
