I would have to agree with you on that programming for the web is in
an immature state. I have been programming for 30 years and just the
last 5 with the web. My 25 years of pre-web experience was much more
demanding in terms of delivering error-free code and stuff that just
worked. It wasn't the "writestuff" code, but we couldn't make
mistakes either.
Now I am presented with coding and/or checking other's code/website
and most people/organizations are very sloppy I think.
