yeah, one of the problems i've struggled with in getting this non-table
layout to work.

i'm keen to hear any ideas on how to make it work.

That's actually kind of the point.  The old name for their company was
"Gemstones of Montana".  They've been slowly phasing out that name from
their business.  It could probably be completely removed now.

it wasn't easy at first.  then, i got a handle on how to reproduce the
borders around the design.  it doesn't degrade very well on lower
resolutions though.   grrrr.  that's the one thing i've yet to solve and
welcome feedback on.

i bypassed checking in nn4 because the percentage of nn4 users was so small
(<1%).

however, based on your comments i took a quick peek and noticed a couple of
quick changes would make it usable in nn4, with or without styles enabled.

without css, you shouldn't see any imagery except for product photos.

the navigation should default to an unordered list.

colors should fall back to black on white with default link colors, font
families and sizing.
