Chris Johnston & Hassan Schroeder had some things to say:
>>Interesting concept. Seemed to work for me. Mozilla 1.3.1 -- Mac OS X 10.2.6
Whew! Thanks Chris! I guess I'll have to check it out from home to see
if it's working for me. (Still nogo at the orifice.)
>From another suggestion I appended a "?stuff=random_no" to the css file
link -- maybe that's helping a tad.
>>I did notice that it can take six or seven hard refreshed to get the
>>background to change.
Good point. I only have 3 different color schemes at the moment -- I was
hoping adding more would reduce those odds - but, you're right, I should
be able to work in a check to make sure it always changes. I'll put that
on my LOTTD!
>>In any case, CTRL+SHIFT+R is the magic combination for Moz users!
Coolio! I'll make a note of that.
>>Oh, one thing -- the 'visited link' color is *mighty* hard to read
>>against the dark (dusky reddish-brownish-whatever) background :-)
Agreed. I'm not happy with it either - still tinkering.
[BTW - I'm well aware that my 'color skillz' are not "all that" ... feel
free to offer suggestions!]
Thanks!
RonL.
