 (currently
> win 98).

start win98
Start >Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs>
Create StartUp Disk>

Shut down machine
put disk in drive A
turn on machine
go into BIOS and make the floppy the first boot drive
save and exit>

machine will reboot
win98 startup options
#1 start computer with CD Rom support

you will be good to go in about a minute if it is a slow machine.

make sure that you have the drivers for your video, net, sound, handy, just
in case you have something that linux doesn't have a basic driver for.
