Tom,
  I tried to take a look at your style issues and came across
something I've never seen before: when employing my beloved "edit
styles" bookmarklet
(http://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/webdevel.html) your site
dropped all a good portion of the styles applied it. Thinking
this curious, I closed the "edit styles" window and the site
dropped all styles... see these screenshots:

Now, it won't display styles at all unless I have the "edit styles"
window open and then, it doesn't display the correct style then.
I have tried clearing my cache, shutting down the browser,
restarting it... to no avail. To be honest, it seems like a
browser bug, but I've never had it happen before, so something is
definitely causing it.

Just looking at your stylesheets the only thing that jumps out at
me is that you are capitalizing the elements you are styling in
your sheets.
e.g. in your stylesheet:
H1{...}
should be
h1{...}
as Mozilla correctly applies case sensitivity to style rules.
