As far as my email being spam, I've used his software for things like
this that don't show up in msconfig or are not easily found in the
registry - which is what Tom is looking for as far as I can tell. The
appy used to be free when he was developing it, but it's good enough to
sell imho and he thinks so too obviously. I don't know the guy and am
not affiliated etc., it's just good stuff.

As far as what makes me think it's something that this appy will find?
It's because I've seen the same thing before, and although I can't tell
Tom a specific registry key or file name, maybe you can help him
yourself instead of just contributing a flame to this thread?
