Why not?

If you use width="100%" and height="100%" then at very worst whatever image
you select should exactly fill the piece of paper.  If you don't want
distortion, simply set one or the other.  Make your image about 1000 pixels
wide and you should be okay for most printers...

A bit of trial and error would suit you well, I'd imagine, as only you have
access to your printer and source images.  There's no way we can help you if
you won't help yourself?
