Hi Joon,

It's no bad  against Comcast in general, but my geography gets hit a lot
during the day.  Workdays too.

You can buy a modem and save the $5/month.  I did a year ago, but I still
have problems which Comcast tech support occasionally informs me to unplug
the modem to resolve.

Hard to believe but true.  

Other Comcast users's I've spoken to do not have these problems so I'll
agree the high interruption frequency is localized, perhaps down to my block
!
