hi...

as i understand your issue... you want the incoming msgs to be displayed in
"text" format instead of rtf/html... outlook 2000/2003 doesn't provide a way
of doing this...

however, there are plugins that you can get/add to the app to provide this
functionality.. not sure if they're free or not..

do a search on google.. you'll find them...

regards...

Subject: [thelist] [OT] Outlook 2003 Annoyances

Greetings Folks :

I've always used Mozilla mail as my primary email client, simply
because I like the way it works.

Now because of my job I have to use Outlook 2003, so I'm trying to
set it up a bit like Mozilla. The problem I'm having is with the text
display. I set up my options so that when composing, it uses plain text,
when displaying messages it uses plain text -- but for some reason in
the preview pane it still shows styled messages :( Also, for some
messages, it just plain ignores the settings. These are my current
settings :

Tools --> Options --> Mail Format
Compose in this message format: Plain Text

(same tab, under Fonts)
all fonts are 10 pt. Courier New

and under Stationery fonts I have selected
Use my font when replying to and forwarding messages

I can't find anywhere else to set it up for message display. Anyone
know of what setting I'm missing? I'd like it to display *all*
messages, not matter what format or whom they are from, in plain text
(like Mozilla does, when you choose the plain text option).

Any other Outlook tips would be graciously recieved :)
