Hi

I'm not sure if naming myself in response to your message is acceptable list
etiquette, but hey I've done it now. I run ithium (www.ithium.net) which is
a not-for-profit hosting company, and I would be happy to provide you with
free hosting. If that interests you, please contact me direct (off list) -
otherwise, I have heard some murmurings about f2o.org (I have no idea if
they are any good however).

Good luck

Dan

Subject: [thelist] Webhosting

Hi all,

I have the following problem. Since 1998 I am a member of the webdevelopment
community. One of the first things I did after I graduated was putting up my
own website. A lot has changed since then and my personal website is getting
a bit outdated. At first I started with client-side scripting but since then
I evolved to mainly serverside scripting. So when I first made my personal
website I didn't need support for serverside scripting. Unfortunately my
current hosting firm doesn't support serverside scripting. So what I want to
do is this: find a hosting company that supports php and mysql where I can
put my new php pages, and then link to them from within my clientside
website to them. Is there anybody of you who knows a company like that, that
offers php and mysql support for free? Since this is only for my personal
use, I don't want to go and pay for this. It is just going to be a showboard
of the things I have learned over the years.

TIA,

Eveline
