Scott,

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have had a complete nightmare but it turned
out I had defined my currency details incorrectly. I looked at the paypal
class and I noticed when it constructs the form to connect to paypal it
multiplies the amount by the currency!

Does that make any sense?
