[thelist] PHP on Mac OSX, not the same?

I'm new to using php. I've got version 4.3.4 of php on my Mac, but
frequently I get errors calling functions I see on the php.net web
site. For example, array_chunk(). What's the deal? It says array_chunk
is from version 4.2.0 and above on the site, but the error is that it's
an undefined function. I had to copy and use the example array_chunk
code they provided for those unfortunates like me whose version of PHP
doesn't have it.

I'd upgrade php, but I don't see the point. It's quite a pain not
being able to write code that works at home and on the server. Any
suggestions?
