David,
Is there any specific reason you're running Apache, instead of IIS? 
FrontPage Server Extensions are available for Apache, but I've heard 
that it's an ordeal to install and configure. The GUI in IIS is much 
more convenient and easier to manage. I would also raise the issue of 
support from Microsoft, should you need it... also consider fixes, 
patches, and new versions when they become available.
