Hey, anythings possible, depends on the resources(er manpower) available to you.

Also slightly depends on the scale of the project- if its say, a online national supermarket, then I would question the sanity of those asking for a crucial part of their business to be completed, bug free, in a week.

Ordering, stock levels, order fulilment, payment processing etc theres a lot to do - even leaving the admin and reporting for later development.

Presuming you have your database set up and poulated then you could set up a simple cart and product listing page fairly quickly. Would'nt be too sophisticated, but you just roll the fluffy stuff out later.

Problem with doing this fast is that when you need the app to scale- you will no doubt hit issues you did'nt/could'nt foresee due to lack of time in the planning stages.

As long as your paymasters understand that the initial phase/rolout is limited and basic in functionality, and they allow time to redesign later etc. The last thing you want is to end up firefighting the app all the time- leaving no time for development
