You need a lot of light - a lot of light -  a serious amount of light  
acting directly on a background - preferably one that curves away from the  
ground up to make an original shot with a white background.

You also need to ensure that the camera exposes based on the light on your  
object, not the background (set spot exposure, rather than average)

all your light should be from a similar temperature source and then  
manually set that.
