[thelist] Domain questions

Hi

<web.com> is a domain. Whoever currently controls web.com controls
everything underneath that (*.web.com). There is thus no explicit expiry for
individual hosts, or subdomains underneath web.com. The entire domain has a
single expiry date.

Now it appears that the web.com people are selling hosts underneath the
web.com domain. This is a private feature that these people offer - not
something that is part of the public DNS registration system. So, if those
guys provide some kind of tools for displaying all the hosts/subdomains
underneath web.com then that's probably the only tools that exist. (this is
partly speculation, because I can't reach the www.web.com website at the
moment).

HTH

Cheers
Ken

: marc: No, not exactly but thanks for a great resource :)

: Stephen: Thanks, but I would like to find websites that employ a *.web.com
: domain name, not a query of any one particular website. In other words, a
: list of sites from alpha.web.com to zeta.web.com. I hope I've done better
at
: stating this.

: Thanks much,
