SV: [thelist] Firefox Plugins

The absolute MUST HAVE extensions for a developer are Web developer
which adds a whole toolbar with loads of functions. Not all of them that
super important but together they form a really solid devkit. You can
toggle images on/off, turn javascript on/off and so forth. It's very
handy.
Then there's the inspector widget if you work with the DOM, it adds a
context menu click to inspect the page in the DOM viewer of Firefox
(which in itself is a gold mine but it comes with firefox).
Finally there's checky, that allows you to validate your page against
many many things. Also (at least on windows) has a wonderful "cache
upload" to validate local files.
Those are the developer extensions

Other than that I use tabbrowser extensions (heavy weight tabbrowsing,
but I like it) and super drag & go (treat any text as a URL when you
drag/drop it). As a windows user I also have IE view but I doubt you'll
find that all useful.

Make the switch :)
I've used firefox on os x and it was like using it on windows, but a bit
slow ... (might have been my tabbrowsing plugin spooking)
I hold it over safari because it has such advanced developer support,
but as a general browser I suppose they're pretty equal (didn't test/use
that much)

Note to all those using tabbrowser extensions, this plugin will really
toll your resources if you have the "restore tab session on crash"
option enabled.

Firefox seems to be getting increasingly popular amongst web developers,
and with plug-ins like the Developers Extension, I can see why.

I do have a copy of Firefox, but Safari is still my primary browser. As
such, I've not really looked at the various extensions available to
Firefox. So apart for the obvious developer extension, what are the must
have Firefox extensions?
