You don't mention what version of Access you used to create the file.
If it was not Access 2003, then I suggest you goto Tools -> Database
Utilities -> Convert -> to Access 2000-2003 (or whatever that option
is). If the database was created in an older version of Access, you
may not be able to alter it in newer versions of Access until you
update it.
Otherwise, when did this problem start happening? And what did you
change just before that?
