hmm, apparently the new Amazon Web Services 4 has some issues with visual
studio 2003, there are workarounds...so if anyone is interested heres some
details; the fixes worked well for c# and vb code (asp + application)

Subject: [thelist] amazon web services

hi there.
i hope this is too far off of the web development path; if so im sorry.
anyone got any decent experience with amazon web services? ive spent the
day trying to get a simple setup going but to no avail. this was my first
reference. building a simple app to talk to the aws.

http://www.sitepoint.com/article/amazon-web-services-asp-net

ive converted it over to vb.net but i get this fatal exception when i run it

An unhandled exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred
in system.web.services.dll

Additional information: Method AWSECommerceService.CustomerContentSearch can
not be reflected.

arrgh ??, when i follow the debugger through it stops when i first try to
instantiate the main class. The problem seems to be with the autogenerated
code section that is created when you add the web reference. but you have
nocontrol over this

any idea..at all?

many thanks
