hiya!

Seems to be 7 or 8 things that i need to do to set up a site

1) Create a suitable user name and add make a folder with that name in 
the htdocs folder plus supporting subdirectories.

2) Create a holding page in the public_html subdirectory of said 
user_name/folder

3) Create an entry in the httpd.conf file

4) Restart webserver

5) Create a new user with rights to  mail, ssh, ftp and other facilities

6) Create a mail account

7) Create autoresponders / subaccounts eg info / [name] / support etc

8) Create a directories for the stats plus a cron job for webalizer / 
awstats

have I missed anything out?
