well i can d/l at about 60 kb/s and probably about a third of that in

Anyway, looks basically like VoIP is a way of reducing long distance 
calls rather than doing practically free calls.

so theres two options:

 1) talk with some one whos also running the same software

 2) go via switchboard and they make calls to normal phones. am i on the 
same page as you guys?

err well basically AFAIK i got ripped off by BT as regards to the set up fee and the winding up fee,so in that respect yes, but i guess youre right about the freelance IT people having not much to worry about.
