[thelist] IDX & MLS

Anyone have any experience with IDX and the MLS systems? From what I 
have read the various MLS systems make their data available via csv or 
something. People can get at it via FTP or something, parse it and then 
use it for listing on agent/brokers websites.

I need some more info on how to get at the data. I assume each MLS is 
different, but a general overview would be great.
