This web site has text that spans too far across the
page, since the most comfortable and readable line
length is said to be about 4 inches or 24 picas for
12pt Times font (Thomas A. Powell, WEB DESIGN, 2nd
edition, p.443).

But it also causes the layout to break, so that the
text is unreadable toward the end of each line:

Can anyone tell me what is the fix for this simple
problem of layout?

Is it solved by <div> tags attributes? ie, div
style...width: 24pc;">
