If you're using either one, shouldn't they both be "accurate"?

Ha, no, trick question. A couple of years ago I tried using the UPS
XML interface for a client. It *seemed* to work, *but* -- their own
HTML-based shipping calculator gave different results for identical
input.

UPS "tech support" couldn't seem to grasp this being a problem. So
my client decided to use the US Postal Service :-)

I offer this only to indicate that "accuracy" in the context of UPS
may be a bit of a wraith, and trying to pin down anyone at UPS on
this a waste of time. (I spent literally weeks sending and resending
documentation of the problem - repeatable test case -- without ever
getting any kind of resolution.)
