[thelist] Launching a PDF in Flash - Mac

I'm no stranger to using a .bat file to call a PDF from a Flash .exe
file, however, I'm doing a hybrid CD presentation and I am required to
call the PDF on the Mac side as well as the Win side.  

That said, does anyone have a preferred method or a recommended 3rd
party tool to assist with this operation?  I've heard that I could use
"Zinc", but it seems pricey and I'm hoping for other alternatives.
