That's not what I heard being said.  Rather, I heard that if a user
willingly alters their configuration in a manner that's known to cause some
things to no longer work that they shouldn't bitch when said things don't
work.

The irony in your statement is that the windows platform is the platform of
choice for those with accessibility issues.  None of the other platforms can
even come close to the depth and breadth of accessibility hooks available to
users and software developers in windows.  So, for accessibility, windows
*is* the answer.
