Microsoft Project is probably the most popular app, but if you aren't
tied to MS and want a free package to play with this
<http://developer.imendio.com/wiki/Planner> is a Linux planning tool.

There's much more to project management than knowing the software,
however, and it's almost true to say that managing a software project
is completely different to running any other kind of project (read
'The Mythical Man Month' although with open source development
techniques the 'rule' the book describes may no longer be always
true).

I've collected a few fairly random links over the years, most of which
will probably be dead but you're welcome to them:

	http://www.phpcollab.com

	www.alexking.org

http://java.foundries.sourceforge.net/article.pl?sid=03/05/11/1023228

	http://www.journyx.com/

	http://www.dotproject.net/index.php

In the UK at least, I was reading recently about the different project
management qualifications but I can't quite find the article right
now, if I do I'll come back to you. You might take a look here
<http://www.pmi.org/info/default.asp>.
