Having a calculated field is almost always a mistake. About the only time I 
would do that is with very high traffic - on the web, network, or the app. - 
and if it takes long time to calculate it.

That should not be a problem, tho. Almost everything I do is with the 
queries on a table and not the table itself. Create a field in the query 
like this: NetAmt:[GrossAmt]-[TotTax] where GrossAmt and TotTax are other 
fields of the table.
