2 things I've done before.
1) use the overflow attribute on the object and set it
to hidden or none (forget exact syntax but w3c css2
reference for overflow should help you).

2) put it inside an input type=text field, and style
it so it looks like the rest of the page (allows for
scrolling).

Afaik, there is no way to wrap a string without
spaces.
Anyone else know of a way?
