Never used it, so couldn't tell you. They scared me off with the
frequent warnings of a steep learning curve.

That is a short time to get things running properly, if you're working
solo (sounds like you are, but only a guess). But you can probably
assemble a reasonable demo in that time.

The choice of scripting language is a personal one, and said choice
should be made only after much meditation and soul-searching. Actually
it's pretty arbitrary. However, you will likely be looking at source
code sooner or later, if only to hack some minor block's output
according to client request. So realize that choosing to use a
particular CMS is also a tacit agreement to learn about the scripting
language it's written in - PHP, ASP.NET, Coldfusion, etc - OR, to hire
someone who is already familiar with it.

If you plan to kludge these together into one site, you may need to
figure out how a user can login to all three apps with a single login
form. Unless everything will be anonymous anyway, which is unlikely.
Also, keep in mind that you'll be "skinning" three different apps this way.

In your place, I'd fire up Mambo and see what you can come up with
quickly. You'd need to browse MamboForge[0] to get all the components
you need (wiki, forum, etc). I did my first Mambo site in about a week
(using a prefab template). YMMV...
