Myself, I happen think the embedded players "look pretty yucky" and much
prefer that audio and video clips are handed off to an application that
I choose to handle them. I've lost count of the number of times that
there was audio and video on a site I had trouble accessing, usually
made by from someone who subscribes to the duck-tape-Javascript-and
Flash school of Web authoring.

I would strongly advise against using Flash, whatever you do.
