If you're working on a Windows PC, and your server is a UNIX server, you
might be having a problem with your end-of-line characters being
translated during the FTP upload process...? This might explain why the
server is seeing the file as being one line of code. Windows and UNIX
have slightly different ways of marking the end of a line.

If you can, try logging in to the server and copying contact.asp to
asktheorganiser.asp there, rather than re-uploading it .

Or, switch your FTP program into binary mode, download contact.asp,
rename it, and then upload it as asktheorganiser.asp. That might work!
