[thelist] Working with NWS XML Feeds [WAS: weather forecasts for website]

Pursuant to my original request for weather forecast info, I've been working
directly with the National Weather Service's XML and RSS feeds. I've learned
a lot and have got the basic current conditions XML data up and running on a
test page now.

I'm wondering if anyone else has played around with the XML feeds from NWS
at all, or knows of any sites with more info on this subject. I've Googled
it to death and followed most of the links I've found, but they haven't
provided me with much more info than I've already gleened on my own.

I'm interested in:

1. What tools people are using on IIS-based web servers to grab the XML
feeds and store them locally.

2. Examples of the data being integrated into and displayed on a site for
customer consumption.

3. Display and usage of icons/images representing the current weather
conditions.

Anything else anyone cares to add to the subject would be fine too. Just
looking for as much information as possible.

I'll be happy to post a URL to my final implementation of this once I've got
it all worked out, if anyone is interested.

Regards,
Ron
