[thelist] disappearing table elements (was RE: tip: use other search engines)

I've never written it, but if you were to do a web-based version of Mine 
Sweeper you'd want to be able to operate on an individual table cell. Of 
course, you'd probably just be showing/hiding images within a table 
cell, but perhaps there would be a reason to disappear a cell.
