It installs Apache, PHP, PERL, etc. http://www.apachefriends.org has a great package called XAMPP for almost any platform out there (there is also MAMP for Mac with a cool dashboard widget). It is a full PHP/MySQL/FTP/Webstats/Mailserver thingamajing and dead easy to install.
