<tip author="Volkan Ozcelik" type="always use a subject line">
It is always a good practice to add an explanatory subject to your message
since
evolters generally do not have adequate time to look at every single one of
the messages in theList.
...and a message titled "no subject" is a good candidate to be skipped.

Here is what should be done with subjects in different situations:

1. If it is your first post to the list asking for some help, add a
descriptive subject.

2. If you are replying someone else's post to offer a solution to his
question
DO NOT ALTER THE SUBJECT LINE

3. If you think the subject of the converstaion has been deviated a lot
change the subject line in your reply to start a new thread

example:
old subject: [thelist] (no subject)
new subject: [tip] use subject lines wisely (WAS:(no subject))
</tip>
