If they have a recent version of Office with FrontPage, that might work... I hear it's pretty good about ignoring server-side code these days.

Can you recomend so free/cheap software that won't mess with asp code and allow them to change text? Something user friendly, these ladies know alot about autism but not alot about web pages.

You are talking about "content management". Google for "content
mangement system" or "CMS". Also search at sourceforge.net

As Joel pointed out, it is possible to roll your own very simple system.
However it is a slippery slope. If your client wants to change multiple
text areas on multiple pages, you will soon wind up with templates,
content database, and x-injection security considerations. You will be
reinventing the wheel. (Although, properly done, it will be a wheel you
can reuse with additional clients.)

But definitely do a "make or buy" analysis before beginning. (In this
case it would be "make or reuse FOSS".)
