Sprinkling <wbr> and &shy; everywhere works, I think browsers
understand WBR because Netscape introduced it was proposed for HTML 3,
but was rejected in favour of &shy;.  I don't think &shy; works in
Firefox though.  WBR won't validate against any doctype though.

In CSS3, there is word-wrap:break-word.
