OK, that's what I thought after I posted. I know zencart, but to get a 
nice interface WOULD I think require a good bit of customization. What

Why? So that we can charge them when we calculate the price. The nature 
of this business is such that this will be acceptable to the customers.

We use an interesting tool called a database. It stores lots of 
information and one thing you could even store there would be a credit 
card number. :)

But that's the answer--put in the MySQL DB. Many ecommerce packages do 
this by anyway--even if they do place the charge automatically at 
checkout time.
