[thelist] changing banks over technology? (was RE: what percentage uses webmail?)

I hope that's hyperbole, Matt :)

Banks are notoriously slow to adopt technology. Some parts of the DDA
process in US banks (the actual process by which money moves from this
account over here to that account over there) are still manual. As in,
people move things around in boxes, with their hands. And write stuff on
pieces of paper to be hand carried from us to them.

Any bank that even has online banking is ahead of the pack. If their
online banking works in a browser other than IE, they're flying.

I'm just puzzled about anyone even part geek who only uses webmail . . .
